The “leadership skills, integrity, and passion for progress” of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for Navrongo Central according to constituency executives, “will contribute significantly to the development and welfare of our constituents.”
In a congratulatory statement issued by the executives following the May 13 primaries, the constituency leadership says the election of Simon Akibange Aworigo reenergises the hope of the constituents in terms of clinching the seat in 2024 and making their welfare a priority.
“…and we have full faith in your ability to carry our party’s flag to victory in the upcoming general elections,” portions of the statement signed by Adafula Aiden, General Secretary of the party, indicated.
Meanwhile, the constituency leadership is advising Mr. Aworigo not to distance himself from initiatives being put in place to foster “unity, cohesion, and effective collaboration among party members” in the upcoming months.
Mr. Aworigo polled 475 votes against his closest contender, Sampson Tangombu Chiragia –the incumbent MP –to emerge victorious in the constituency primary.
