Delegates of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have overwhelming elected John Dramani Mahama as its flagbearer for the 2024 presidential elections.

The outcome of the polls has been described by many as an endorsement for the former president who attained almost 99 per cent of the valid votes cast.

Director of Electoral Services at the Commission, Dr. Serebour Quaicoe, addressing the media Sunday dawn declared former President Mahama winner of the polis with 297,603 votes representing 98.9% whilst Kojo Bonsu obtained 3,181 votes which is 1.1% with 4,663 rejected ballots.
