The New Juaben South Municipal Chief Executive, Ransford Owusu Boakye, has reaffirmed his commitment to opening the Zongo Market and reconstruct inner roads within the Koforidua Zongo township to improve economic development.
He made the pledge at the New Juaben South Municipal Assembly after presenting items to Muslim leaders ahead of the Ramadan celebrations.
The gesture formed part of efforts by the Assembly to support the Muslim community during the holy month.
“I present these items to support our Muslim community as they prepare for Ramadan. We have donated 40 bags of rice, 20 cartons of milk, 20 cartons of Milo, eight bags of sugar, and eight boxes of oil. I encourage them to continue praying for the development of the Assembly and the nation as a whole. I also urge their leaders to support the Assembly’s efforts to bring development to the municipality.” The New Juaben South MCE Ransford Owusu Boakye said.

Mr Ransford Owusu Boakye used the occasion to assure the Muslim leaders that the Assembly remains committed to improving infrastructure, particularly the completion and opening of the Zongo Market and the rehabilitation of inner roads to ease movement and boost local economic activities.

He also urged them to support government business by paying tolls.
“We will soon open the Zongo Market and ensure it is fully operational on market days. I also pledge to fix the inner roads within the municipality. I therefore urge residents to continue paying their tolls to support the Assembly’s development efforts.”
