The campaign Manager of Kennedy Agyapong in the Ashanti region, Yaw Amankwa has described Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the worst Vice President ever.

He said he has failed on all his campaign promises of transforming the economy.

He mentioned the current inflation rate, cedi to dollar rate, high taxes among other areas Dr Bawumia has failed to manage as part of his reasons to tag him the worst Veep ever.

According to him, Dr Bawumia has failed to manage the economic management team of the country well.

Speaking on M’abatoɔ, an evening political show on Akoma 87.9FM in Kumasi with William Evans-Nkum and JB, Yaw Amankwa, said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) cannot win the 2024 general elections with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as flag bearer.

He said the leaders in the party know the Vice President cannot win the 2024 general election for the NPP.

Mr. Amankwa, who is former NPP Chairman in the Ashanti region, expressed concerns over the internal politics which had often led to escalating violence.

He lamented the growing trend of violence during internal party elections, highlighting that some individuals within the NPP become more aggressive when it comes to these contests.

He also expressed his disappointment with the running of the party by the current leadership on the level of indiscipline that has taken over the NPP.

He said Kennedy Agyapong is the only person that can break the ‘8’ for the NPP.

Amankwah stated further that, Ken Agyapong has demonstrated his commitment to transform the economy, reduce youth unemployment and bring hope to the people.

He alleged that seven MPs in the Ashanti region have been promised the Vice Presidential slot by Dr. Bawumia, should he become the party’s flag bearer.

Bawumia becoming the party’s flagbearer would likely lead the NPP into opposition according to the former NPP Chair.

He argued that the party should avoid such a scenario, stressing his determination to resist any actions that might push the NPP into opposition.
