A former staff of defunct GN Bank is calling on President Akufo-Addo to pay off their Provident Fund and reinstate the bank.

He says the collapse of the bank has poured the bread off the table of thousands of Ghanaians whose lives depended on it.

The ex staff of the bank had through a ceremony observed three years anniversary after the collapse of the bank to drum home their plight to government to pay them their Provident Fund which has not been paid, and also reopen the bank for operation.

“Yesterday was a day in remembrance of exactly three years that our mother (GN Bank) was assassinated,” he said.

Appearing on Onua TV/FM’s morning show, Maakye Wednesday, August 17, 2022, Philip Sarpiah, a former coordinator of GN Bank mobile bankers pleaded with President Akufo-Addo to bring GN Bank to life.

He pleaded that even if the state has issues with their boss, the president should consider the plight of the people his actions have denied a living.

“Nana Addo, even if Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom (Owner of GN Bank was a thief, what about we the workers? What have we done?

“Nana Addo, this is like a man who seized the ball of some kids for playing it to hit him. Please, Ken Ofori-Atta has hidden the ball under your bed, kindly get it for us because we want to play. We want to return to the field,” he pleaded whilst being hosted by Captain Smart on the show.
