Senior policy advisor to Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, Nana Ohene Ntow, has chastised the National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party for allegedly making some comments which he says can cause anarchy.
He says it is for similar comments that Sierra Leone and Liberia were plunged into war.
During an interview with Captain Smart on Onua TV’s Maakye Tuesday, August 27, 2024, he said some people are determined to win the December elections at all cost irrespective of the pattern the people will choose to vote.
According to him, it is for such reason that the National Organiser of the ruling NPP has said their party will not sacrifice the polls on the alter of peace.
He was commenting on questions that certain elements within the NPP have been posing to him, asking what he would gain by following Alan Kyerematen.
Nana indicated that since he is moved by conviction, his loyalty is influenced by money, indicating that the December election is not a do or die affair as certain people in the NPP have taken it.
“I do my business, politics and everything with conviction. If it is the will of God, you’ll win or lose. It shouldn’t be a matter of life and death for someone to tell us ‘we will not sacrifice this election on the alter of peace’, NPP National Organiser is whom I heard making this comment.
“Do you know what this means and its implications to say this as a young man? He should go to Liberia and ask them. I’ve been to Sierra Leone several times and they’ll ask whether you prefer long sleeves or short sleeves and if you see some of them, you’ll cry.
“So for anyone to tell us we will not sacrifice this election on the alter of peace, that is why we don’t need NPP,” he maintained.
