Twelve persons have been remanded into police custody by the Dambai Circuit Court in the Oti Region over the clash at Beposo in the Krachi Nchumburu District between two Konkomba groups.
They are to re-appear on Friday, May 15, 2026, for hearing of the case.
The clash led to the death of one, while six others were wounded.
After the clash, the police moved in to arrest the twelve and put them before court.
The injured are currently receiving treatment at the Tamale Teaching Hospital, Krachi District Hospital and Chineri Hospital, while the dead have been deposited at the Chineri Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
Apart from these, several houses have been torched, thousands of tubers of yam burnt, motor bicycles burnt, and other properties destroyed.
