The dilapidated in-roads at the Nana Afia Kobi market at Bantama Racecourse has left traders there at the mercy of God.

The market women have had to endure the bumpy roads for years following the neglection of the market by authorities.

The Yam Queen mother of the market, Nana Foriwaa, who spoke on the maiden edition of the joint Akoma FM Onua TV/FM current affairs and political show, Akoma Maakye said “God is our only hope since the authorities and leaders in charge of the market have neglected us.”

She bitterly lamented that the leaders of the Market have tried their best to get in touch with the authorities to fix their poor roads but have turned deaf ears to their plea.

Hosts of the show, Captain Smart and Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin were livid how authorities have allowed a big market named after the late Asantehemaa could be left to degenerate into such sorry state.
