Black Stars midfielder Thomas Teye Partey has lost his appeal over the Canadian government’s denial of his visa application, Onua Sports has gathered.
The decisi on on the appeal was taken in Ottawa on Tuesday, June 16.
The former Arsenal midfielder had been denied visa to enter Canada, where the Black Stars open their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign against Panama.
Head Coach Carlos Queiroz had indicated at the pre-match press conference in Toronto that it will “not be necessary” to comment on the issue.
He assured that the team is ready to face their Group L opponents, tagging the game against the central Americans a must-win.
