Ashanti Regional Chairman for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Augustus Nana Akwasi Andrews has described his calmness, gentleness and reserved attitude as a strategy to attract more votes for NDC in Ashanti region.

The Regional Chairman who is widely known to be introvert advised delegates to maintain him in power as regional chair to lead the party to victory in 2024 because his attitude and pers onality alone attract more votes for the NDC.

Speaking exclusively on Akoma FM’s weekend political show which also televised on Onua TV, ‘Wonsom’ Saturday, November 12, 2022, the Ashanti regional Chairman who is urging delegates to reelect him told host of the show, Aduanaba Kofi Asante Ennin, that “even my personality gives more vote to NDC because the people love my style and my calmness unlike some people who are rude and rough whose attitude always call for riots and chaos, NDC needs a leader who will attract more votes even from NPP camp to sail us through to power.”

In 2016, the NDC garnered 497,242 votes in the region which represented 23.03 per cent whilst it gained 652,962 in 2020 representing 26.08 per cent under Nana Akwasi.

He argued for the delegates to retain him to appreciate in votes in 2024.

The NDC Ashanti regional delegate’s election is slated for November 13, 2022 at the Baba Yara sports stadium.

Nana Akwasi urged delegates to consider his track records for the past 4 years and reward him by maintaining him as the regional chairman for NDC in Ashanti.
