The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, has got netizens talking after choosing to, in the glare of the public, purchase roasted plantain and peanuts locally known as ‘Kofi Brokeman’ on his own.
The IGP got social media awash with the act triggering mixed reactions from the public.
Many who have described the Police boss as a down-to-earth and selfless man say the very act of the IGP stepping out of his car, to purchase the plantain on his own confirms the description they have given him.
The young lady who sells the plantain was the first person to express her astonishment with the gaze she gave the IGP as he collected the item wrapped in a paper and briskly walked back into his car.
However, there are those who believe the man is only trying to caught public attention since he could have sent his Aide De-Camp to get him the plantain.
Others also think he is merely living his humble life.
For now, all opinions remain hearsay until the IGP voices out his rationale for making the move himself.
