The Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, is presenting the 2025 Budget Statement and Economic Policy of the government to Parliament today, Tuesday, March 11, 2025.
The Minister, ahead of the presentation, visited some markets in Accra to gauge the mood of traders and sought their expectation, as well as engaging the youth on social media Sunday night, March 09.
Ghanaians are expecting the government to abolish some taxes as it promised in its campaign ahead of the elections.
Meanwhile, the government, has, since after the elections, promised to honour its promise of scrapping those taxes including the E-levy, betting tax and the Covid levy which many Ghanaians have described as nuisance taxes.
