Founder of the Heaven’s Gate Chapel, Prophet Nicholas Osei, also known as ‘Kumchacha’, has shared what he will remember former President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for.

He says he was asked by someone after the presidential inauguration on Tuesday, January 07, 2025, to list four things he would remember Akufo-Addo for, which he said there was no memory of him to write home about.

Speaking on Onua TV’s morning show, Maakye, with Sir John Thursday, January 09, 2025, the vociferous man of God known for his amiable and jovial way of communication, managed to list three things he said he will remember the former President for, the fourth item he said he wouldn’t disclose on air.

He revealed that the first thing he will remember Akufo-Addo for will be his ability to deceive both God and humans by promising to put up a National Cathedral in His honour and failing to do it.

Stating Ecclesiastes chapter 5 verse 4 from the bible, Kumchacha said the former President’s failure to fulfill the promise to God is a curse unto him, asserting that the angels of God are searching for him for deceiving the Creator.

“Someone asked me to state four things I’ll remember Nana Addo for and I said there is nothing about Nana Addo to be remembered for. He is actually remembered for deceiving God and man. Read Ecclesiastes 5:4. He promised to build a cathedral for God. The angels are even looking for him for failing to fulfill his promise. It is a curse upon him for failing to fulfill that promise,” he said in Twi.

Kumchacha had earlier expressed his misgivings about the Cathedral saying it was not worth it in a previous interview on the same platform.

Additionally, he said he will remember Akufo-Addo for the manner with which he disrespected chiefs by ordering them to be on their feet to greet him at functions.

Listing his third memory of the President, the man of God said he would be remembered as the President whose wife never put up a smile in public.

Comparing the immediate past First Lady to the immediate past Second Lady, Samira Bawumia, Kumchacha said Bawumia’s wife was full of life whenever she was in public, putting up smiles and glittering, unlike Rebecca Akufo-Addo who was always moody.

When told the facial expression of the First Lady had nothing to do with the President, he said it cannot be detached from him, using the opportunity to criticise her for snubbing the Speaker of Parliament on Friday, January 03, 2025, after Akufo-Addo had delivered his final State of the Nation Address (SoNA) in Parliament.

“The third thing I will remember him for is that, I never saw Nana Addo’s wife Maame Beckie smiling before. Check Bawumia’s wife, she was always smiling at functions. Look at what she (Rebecca Akufo-Addo) did in Parliament. You cannot say it is his wife so it’s not about the President. It is a national matter,” he stated.
