Former President of the Republic and flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has resolved the impasse between Pablo and Sammy Gyamfi.

The National Youth Organiser, George Opare Addo, and National Communications Officer of the party, Sammy Gyamfi, had some verbal confrontations following the National Youth and Women’s Organiser elections held at the University of Cape Coast in the Central region over the weekend.

The duo exchanged verbal assaults against each other with allegations upon counter allegations until the former president called for a ceasefire.

In a post shared on Mr. Mahama’s Facebook wall Thursday, December 15, 2022, he said the duo need to liaise to ensure victory for the NDC in 2024 rather than engaging in rancour that has the potency to mar the party’s fortunes in the upcoming polls.

“I’ve had meetings with our Youth Organizer and Communications Officer and agreed with them that the current exchanges must stop.

“It brings our great party no benefit and only serves as a distraction from the hardship caused by the reckless management of our economy. Let’s keep our eyes on the prize for the ‘Ghana we want,” he indicated on his wall.
