Black Stars striker Antoine Semenyo has been named the Player of the Month by his club AFC Bournemouth.

Semenyo, who has scored three goals so far and involved in one, was awarded on Wednesday, October 23.

His strike against Southampton FC for the Cherries in their 3-1 win at the Vitality Stadium on Matchday 6 has also been adjudged the Goal of the Month by the club.

The awards come after a poor run with the Black Stars during the last international break.

Semenyo played in both games as Ghana picked only a point out of a possible six in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan.

Semenyo is expected to line up for AFC Bournemouth this weekend as they face in-form Aston Villa.

He will also be back for the Black Stars next month as they play Niger and Angola in the remaining AFCON 2025 qualifiers.
