Many are the criticisms levelled on Ghana’s first president, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, but broadcaster Captain Smart believes he is the finest man ever to have ruled Ghana.
On the Founders’ Day edition of Maakye’ Thursday, August 4, 2022, Captain Smart said the achievements of Dr. Nkrumah are incomparable to that of any other leader, the reason those vilifying him have no case.
Listing some of the numerous achievements of Ghana’s first president, Captain Smart asked those altering history, specifically President Akufo-Addo, to show what their fathers bequeathed Ghana.
His comments stem from the ‘Founder’s Day Founders’ Day’ debate which has existed after Akufo-Addo instituted a Founders’ Day in place of the Founder’s Day.
