A delegation from the Conference of Heads of Assisted Secondary Schools (CHASS) has paid a courtesy visit to the Paramount Chief of the Sunyani Traditional Area, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II.

The objective of the visit was to discuss key educational issues and their upcoming national conference.

The delegation comprised:

Mr. Godwin Osei Marfo – National Treasurer
Mrs. Irene Brokeman Arthur – Bono Regional Treasurer
Mr. Nsiah– Secretary
Mr. Joseph Sarpong – Welfare Officer

The CHASS Chairman officially informed Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II of their 2025 National Conference, scheduled for October 2025 at the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in Sunyani.

Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II expressed deep concern over the rising cases of examination malpractice in the Bono Region and urged CHASS to take decisive action to curb the issue.

He further revealed plans to install CCTV cameras in Senior High Schools in Sunyani, namely SUSEC AND TASTEC. Having finished with the SUSEC CCTV Cameras installation, Nana assured that that of Twene Amanfo SHS would follow soon.

Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II also raised concerns about growing indiscipline among students in SHS and charged CHASS to enforce stricter measures to restore discipline.

He advised the delegation to work towards making Bono Region schools academically outstanding and of high standards.
