Information reaching OnuaOnline indicate a school bus carrying over 25 pupils at Kwabedu, a suburb of Tarkwa in the Western region, has involved in an accident killing one pedestrian.

An eyewitness narrates the bus with registration number GN 2681-11 was conveying some pupils to school when they heard the sound of the accident.

He says after rushing to the scene, they saw it was a school bus belonging to one Kingdom Kids School that had crashed on a portion of the road which is a steep.

He explains that a school girl who was walking along the road fell down from the shock from the sound the accident.

The bus which had stopped on the road skipped the edges and fell on the school girl who remained under it after about 20 minutes before some nearby welders and other people rushed to her rescue.

He said the young girl died after being rushed to the hospital.

The eyewitness continued that the windscreen of the bus got broken through which all the occupants of the bus escaped unhurt.

However, he says some of the kids were affected by the shock and have been sent to the hospital.

“I can’t really tell if the bus’s brakes failed but there was a school girl walking to school who fell on the ground. She got scared. The bus then skipped from the road and fell on the girl and that was when the windscreen got broken for the about 25-30 school kids to get out of the bus. She lied under the bus for about 15-20 minutes before people rushed to take her out. She was rushed to the hospital but the girl has been reported dead. None of the occupants was hurt but some of the kids were shocked so they’ve been rushed to the hospital,” the eyewitness narrated.
