Many have criticised Thomas Tei Partey’s performance in Ghana’s campaign at the World Cup after the Arsenal midfielder failed to live up to expectation.

His output in the team for the three group stage matches which ended Ghana’s dreams at their fourth Mundial was abysmal according to many Ghanaians who have been following his exploits for his club –Arsenal –in the English Premier League.

Some earlier argued he doesn’t get his midfield free role in the Black Stars as it is in Arsenal, thereby limiting his chances to do what he does best for his club in the senior national team.

However, a substitution of Andre Ayew during Ghana’s last group game with Uruguay even worsened Partey’s performance when many thought Dede, who has been given his (Partey’s) role was off the pitch.

After the abysmal display from the world class midfielder, he was captured exchanging jerseys with Ghanaians ‘archenemy’ Luis Suarez, whom many have hated for his infamous handling of a Dominic Adiyiah goal-bound strike that would have taken Ghana to the semi-finals of the World Cup 12 years ago.

Even though it is a normal practice in football, some internet users did not spare him for putting up a poor performance and swapping jerseys with their football foe on top.

Whilst some couldn’t believe their eyes for what they saw, others said ‘nea onim aaa nie’ to with this is all he knows.
