The Ashanti Regional Director of the National Service Secretariat, Alex Opoku-Mensah has apologised to the general public and persons affected by his barbaric utterances at the Manhyia Government Hospital which has since gone viral on social media.

Mr. Opoku-Mensah went to the Manhyia Government Hospital to rain insults on a nurse and persons who read General Arts to proceed to nursing school.

His daughter who is a doctor at the hospital gave a wrong prescription and was called by the nurse to come and correct the anomaly only to call her father to the hospital to verbally attack the nurses in an almost 10-minute audio.

The Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association have given government a 72-hour ultimatum to dismiss Mr. Opoku-Mensah or they lay down their tools.

Following the public backlash on his shameful act, he has resorted to his Facebook wall to render an unqualified apology to the public.

Meanwhile, the NSS has commenced investigations into the man’s act and has assured to update the public accordingly on any action they will take.
