Emmanuel Agyei Anhwere, the Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South was chased out of his constituency with cutlass and other missiles by his constituents when he visited.
The constituents who expressed disappointment in the MP for relegating their roads didn’t allow him to even step out of his vehicle.
He was visiting them as part of keeping touch with them since Parliament is on recess.
A video intercepted by Onua TV/FM’s Maakye revealed one man who slapped the top of the MP’s car with his cutlass till he drove out of the scene.
A local reporter, Oheneba Opoku Yiadom, told Captain Smart on Maakye Wednesday, August 24, 2022 that the said road the residents were fumed about had been given to the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Bosiako, aka Wontumi.
He reports efforts devoted to the road prior to the election should have gotten it completed by now. But after the election, the contractor abandoned the road.
Upon getting to Koben yesterday, a community in the constituency, some residents who have lost their relatives courtesy accidents on the poor road besieged the grounds to ensure the MP returns without touching the grounds.
