The Dutorfia of Ziavi, Togbe Adza-Nye IV has donated fifty (50) pieces of modern dual-desk to the Ziavi Dzogbe Methodist primary school in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region.
The chief’s donation is a significant boost to the school’s infrastructure following concerns raised by school authorities regarding the issue of inadequate desks for learners.
Togbe Adza-Nye IV, a former learner and teacher at school is known for his long dedication and support for schools in the area.

“I have always supported schools in the area because I know the essence of providing the necessary teaching and learning materials for learners,” Togbe Adza-Nye, told 3news.
“There are other people in the community that are supporting various educational initiatives, and I believe that is the way to go because I don’t expect government to do everything for us,” he added.
The Headmaster of the school, Veronica Agbeve, who received the desks expressed her gratitude to the chief.

She noted that the donation would go a long way in addressing the school’s furniture deficit, which had forced some students to share desks.
However, she appealed for further support to ensure every student has access to adequate furniture.
Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Edem Richmond Kpotosu who was present for the donation, said that inadequate classroom furniture is an issue that cuts across schools in the Ho Municipality.
He, however, indicated that his office is working to improve the situation and ensure that learners have conducive and comfortable learning experiences.
The team led by Togbe Adza-Nye IV, also included the MP for Ashaiman, Ernest Henry Norgbey, a native and former student at the school.
