Three persons have died in a mining pit during a galamsey operation.
The pit collapsed on the three at a Tribune Mining site near Dompoase, off the Ehyireso road at Wassa Akropong in the Amenfi East Municipality of the Western Region.
Reporting from Wassa Akropong on Onua News Monday, August.1, 2022, Nana Kwabena Tawiah said the deceaseds are strangers who have come to the community to work.
He says it was difficult to get the identity of the persons since they are strangers.
Police have since come for the bodies for preservation, autopsy and identification.
