Two young men tragically lost their lives Thursday morning, February 23, 2023, when the tricycle popularly known as ‘pragya’ in which they were travelling collided with a Kia truck.
The collision occurred at Amoah Nkwanta near Aboi Nkwanta in the Amenfi West municipality of the Western region.
According to reports, the Pragya took a u-turn in the middle of the road when the Kia truck ran into it causing it to summersault, killing two out of the five people onboard.

Speaking to Kakyire of Ahobraseye FM, Dr Augustine Konadu, a medic at the Asankragwa Catholic Hospital where the victims were sent said “we were informed early this morning that some patients have been rushed to our emergency centre. When we came they were bleeding profusely. One of them was having internal bleeding so I has to drain some blood from him. The other had a fractured leg and has already lost a lot of blood. The other had a head injury but they are currently doing well.”
He used the opportunity to advise the youth to be careful when riding the tricycle and motorcycle since they receive many cases involving them.
