The running mate to the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Matthew Opoku made an acceptance speech at the ceremony held on July 9 to introduce him to the rank and file of the party as well as the entire nation.
The running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s address touched on the good works of President Akufo-Addo, the erratic power supply, popularly known as ‘Dumsor’, developments in the health sector, free SHS policy, National Identification Card among others.
One statement that has attracted condemnation from various circles is his comparison of the contribution of Ghana’s first President, Dr Kwame Nkrumah to the nation’s development with that of President Akufo-Addo.
