Black Queens coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren has said that any team that fears playing against England will lose by the margin nations like China are losing to them.
The Swede observed that the Asians were afraid to lose to the Lionesses and that cost them in their friendly game last Saturday.
The Steel Roses lost 8-0 to the European champions in what equalled their heaviest defeat at the highest level.
Asked if Ghana’s Black Queens are not afraid of the form the English are in currently, Kim Lars Bjorkegren said: “How they approached the game, I think they did some mistakes.
“They were afraid to lose with big numbers. If you are afraid to play against England you are going to be destroyed and that was exactly what happened.”
He said the WAFCON 2024 Bronze medalists will approach the game differently with a plan to beat the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup losing finalists.
“We are attacking the game like I said and our game plan is to win it. If it’s possible we are not, if it’s realistic I don’t know and I don’t care to be honest.”
The Queens coach expressed utmost confidence in his “strong” team and hoped that “we can stay in the game as long as possible”.
