Black Stars Head Coach Carlos Queiroz has been speaking about his team’s preparations towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

During a press conference ahead of Tuesday’s friendly encounter against Wales, the Portuguese revealed that his charges want to display good football to make their fans happy.

“We want to express ourselves in the game [on Tuesday] in the best of our skills and effort and commitment,” he told journalists at the Cardiff City Stadium.

“We want to play great football, we want to play to win, we want to bring pride and happiness to our fans and that’s the only thing that our players have in mind.”

Ghana’s game against Wales is expected to be the first after the team announces its final squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Ghana will begin their campaign against Panama before later taking on England and Croatia in Group L.
