Broadcaster Blessed Godsbrain Smart has berated US Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit to Ghana which would later be extended to other African countries.
Captain Smart as he is known in the media believes just like the visits of Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama, Harris’ visit has nothing better to offer the country but the United States themselves.
Speaking on Maakye Monday, March 27, 2023, Captain Smart opined the visit is to counter the Chinese President, Xi Jinping’s visit to Russia to tighten the United State’s relationship within the African bloc for a hegemonic advantage over China and Russia.
Recounting the natural endowments that have been stolen from Ghana since the colonial and post colonial era, Captain Smart said the youth of Africa, and Ghana particularly, have matured beyond the praise-singing, and the earlier the West realised that, the better.
“Let the old guards celebrate you. We [the youth] have liberated our brains [and] we will continue to liberate our brains but that day is coming and it’s so close, otherwise wipe the entire Africa and see if you can survive and you cannot do that,” he challenged.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris giving her address later in the day indicated she is not in Ghana because of Russia and China just as being speculated.
