The Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum, has called on persons with disabilities to venture into agriculture as a sustainable source of livelihood rather than depending on roadside begging.
According to him, disability should not be equated to inability, as every individual, regardless of their physical challenges, can contribute meaningfully to national development.
The Minister made the call during a visit to the farm of Mr. Peter Nkuah, a physically challenged farmer whose resilience has become a shining example in the region.

He praised Mr. Nkuah for his determination and urged others in similar situations to draw inspiration from his story.
The Acting Western North Regional Director of Agriculture, Samuel Afere, also encouraged farmers to approach agriculture as a business, stressing that when done properly, it can be highly rewarding.

He assured farmers that their hard work would not go unnoticed.
Mr. Nkuah himself encouraged persons with disabilities to use him as a case study, insisting that regardless of one’s condition, success is possible with commitment and perseverance.
