A member of the FixTheCountry movement, Blessed Godsbrain Smart, has said the recent brouhaha surrounding their foiled demonstration cannot break their front.
He says he suspects some people are behind the supposed letter to the Ghana Police Service indicating the movement’s intention to arm themselves for a three-day demonstration scheduled for June 4, 2022.
Captain Smart, who was listed among Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah, Oliver Barker-Vormawor and Benjamin Darko as organisers of the said picketing has earlier indicated on ‘Efie ne Fie’, the drive show on Onua FM yesterday that, the “youth are angry without arms and do not need arms to express their displeasure on the affairs of the state.”
During his rants Thursday June 2, 2022, on Maakye, he alleged people are calling the office of the Chief of Staff to grab appointment for marring the movement’s front.
“Some people want to become DCEs and CEOs so people are using FixTheCountry to seek positions. Yesterday they were calling the Chief of Staff.”
“This is not what is going to break our front. We are solid, formidable, prepared to make sure we still talk to proffer solutions to make the country better devoid of violence.”
He has laughed off those jubilating over the possible collapse of the group due to the scuffle.
“Nobody should rejoice over the possible collapse of FixTheCountry. We will not discard both the baby and the water, but rather, we will expunge the bad nuts from the group,” he assured.
