Blessed Godsbrain Smart, host of Maakye on Onua TV/FM has disclosed that a National Security meeting with the President yesterday was inconclusive.

The broadcaster alleges the leaders of the various security operatives told the President “you’re making our work difficult.”

This according to Mr. Smart is the first time in the history of Ghana that leadership of the various security apparatus in the country have made such a statement to the president.

He was speaking Tuesday, October 25, 2022 on his morning show, Maakye, on Onua TV/FM.

Meanwhile, President Akufo-Addo has earlier beseeched the military to be loyal to the 1992 Constitution since hard times are going to be over soon.

The President, admitting the challenges he has subjected Ghanaians into, said told the military to remain “patriotic and loyal.”

The President was speaking in front of the green men at the Idris Barracks in the Ashanti Region during his tour there.

He urged the military to help him get Ghana out of the difficulties the nation is going through.

Many have wondered why the President choose the Idris Barracks to deliver such a passionate speech.

The Camp Idris is named after the late WOI Idris of the 48 Engineer Regiment who was shot dead in 1983 during an abortive attempt to overthrow the Revolution of 31 December 1981.

He told the soldiers “I want to encourage you to continue the good work that you’re doing for our country. I encourage you to stand firm in your loyalty to the Republic, your loyalty to the Constitution of our nation so that the orderly, peaceful development of our country which is the only way that can guarantee the future prosperity we are all working for can come about…. So that these [present] generations of Ghanaians will leave as our legacy, that even when things were difficult in Ghana, we all held together under our Republican institutions and our constitution to find a way to a better future for our nation. I am confident that we can do it and I am counting on you to help me do it.”
