Former Ghana Premier League champions Accra Hearts of Oak came from a goal down to beat Heart of Lions 2-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in a Week 22 late kickoff M onday.

Mustapha Yakubu’s free kick went straight into the back of the Hearts of Oak net just on the stroke of half-time.

The Phobians managed to equalise in the early stages of the second half through Salim Adams but their search for a winner was made difficult with a straight red given Dennis Korsah.

But true to their ‘Never Say Die’ attitude, Linda Mtange tapped in a ball punched onto his way by the Lions goalie Thomas Osae after a Salim Adams shot.

The Phobians then kept their composure to keep the score unchanged and secure all the maximum points.

The win sends Hearts of Oak above their archrivals Asante Kotoko despite being on the same points.

Lions continue to occupy the 17th position on the 18-team log.
