A second-half goal by defender Alexander Djiku gave the Black Stars a 1-0 win over Mali in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Monday.
The cagey encounter at the Accra Sports Stadium saw Otto Addo ring the changes from the 1-1 draw against Chad on Thursday.

The Stars had few chances in the first half as Tom Saintfiet’s side showed more aggression and hunger to win.
After a goalless first half, the Malians conceded a penalty in just four minutes of restart.
A scramble between Djiku and his marker in the corner kick saw the ball hit his thigh and took a rebound into the Mali goal.
It remained 1-0 as Ghana picked all three points in the game.
The Black Stars, who had been equalled on points by Madagascar just before the game, regain their three-point lead in the group.
Their next game will be in October against Central African Republic before returning home for the final qualifier against Comoros.
