The Head Coach of the senior national women’s team, the Black Queens, has named her squad for the final two-leg qualifier for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
Nora Hauptle released her squad on Saturday, November 25 as her side seeks to qualify for the tournament in Morocco ahead of Nambia after missing the previous edition held in the North African country.
Ampem Darkoa Ladies FC’s Comfort Yeboah, who was recently nominated as one of the 10 CAF Inter-Club Women’s Player of the Year, has received a call-up into the national team.
Aside two others, the 23-member squad is dominated by foreign-based players.
Philomena Abakah, who is without a club, has been included in the squad.
The Back Queens will host the Namibians in Accra on Friday, December 1 before travelling to Windhoek for the second leg on Tuesday, December 5.
The Queens reached the final round of qualification after whitewashing Rwanda’s The She-Wasps 12-0 on aggregate.
Namibia also saw off The Gambia 5-2 on aggregate.
