The Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has urged Ghanaians to be peaceful on the day of elections to ensure the sanity of the State is not thwarted.

He has cautioned against occupying the voting centres on December 07 to avoid creating unnecessary pressure.

Speaking on behalf of the King at the launch of ‘Abatoɔ Asoɔeɛ‘, Onua TV and FM’s version of Election Command Centre Wednesday, September 11, 2024, Nii Adu Blefo advised electorates to go home after casting their ballot.

“I want to urge everyone that during the elections, just go, vote and vote for whoever you want to vote for. When you finish, please just go home. When it is time for counting of the election, you can stay at home and watch if that is necessary. Because even coming there can breach a lot of tension and I urge everybody to do so,” he said on behalf of the Ga Mantse.

He also advised irregularities at the polling centres, telling potential ballot box snatchers to be reasonable to avoid being used by others to achieve their dreams.

Nii Blefo also told the police to arrest and prosecute persons who would be found foul by the laws to serve as a deterrent to others.

“We have only one country called Ghana. If somebody comes to you and tells you go and take ballot box, please, advise yourself. You’ll be arrested and I plead with the authorities that anybody arrested should be prosecuted so that at least it will be something that will there to alert people.

“Most at times after election some of them are released so believe even if they do it, it’s nothing,” he counseled.
