Head Coach of Bibiani Gold Stars SC Stephen Frimpong Manso has been appointed by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as coach of the national U-17 men’s soccer team, the Black Starlets.

The appointment was made on Thursday, January 9 following the resignation of Laryea Kingston months ago.

Frimpong Manso, a former national team player, handled the Black Starlets in 2009.

Before then, he served as the Assistant Black Meteors Coach between 2006 and 2008.

His expertise is expected to come handy for the Black Starlets as they get set to commence preparations for a number of international assignments.

Frimpong Manso, who was named Coach of the Month recently in the Ghana Premier League, is anticipated to bring his experience and know-how to bear on the Starlets’ strategy and tactics, ensuring they’re well-prepared for the challenges ahead.

The CAF Licence A Certificate holder will be assisted by Vision FC’s Nana Kweku Agyemang and former Hearts of Oak captain Jacob Nettey.
