The nominee for the Mamprugu Moaduri District Chief Executive (MMDCE) position, Abdul Rahman Abdul Aziz, has garnered a hundred percent endorsement from assembly members.

The North East Region Minister has urged collaboration among all assembly members, transcending political affiliations.

In a landmark decision, all the 18 assembly members from the Mamprugu Moaduri District have unanimously confirmed the nominee for the position of District Chief Executive.

This overwhelming support underscores a collective commitment to governance and development within the district, as all members rallied behind the nominee without dissent.

The North East Region Minister, Ibrahim Tia, in response to the confirmation, emphasized the importance of working cohesively with all assembly members, advocating for a non-partisan approach to local governance.

“It is crucial that we put aside our political differences and focus on what is best for our communities,” the Minister urged, highlighting the potential for progress when unity prevails.

Expressing his satisfaction with the assembly’s decision, Mustapha Yusif, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament for the constituency, commended the assembly members for their unanimous vote of confidence in President John Mahama’s appointee.

“I am thrilled to see such strong support for our nominee. This is a positive step towards enhancing development in our district,” Yusif stated, reflecting the sentiments of many who believe in the nominee’s capability to lead effectively.

As the new MMDCE prepares to take office, Minister Ibrahim Tia also advised the MCE, assembly members, and the traditional authority present at the confirmation center to desist from involvement in the illegal mining industry within the Mamprugu Moaduri District.

He emphasized that the district is a hub for agriculture and should be preserved and protected for its intended purpose.

The call for collaboration and partnership among all assembly members remains a pivotal theme, promising a potentially fruitful tenure focused on the needs and aspirations of the Mamprugu Moaduri District.
