The Ghana Health Service (GHS) is encouraging the general public to hold their guards as it confirms an increase in the number of Mpox cases in the country.
As of June 18, 2025, nine new cases of Mpox had been confirmed bringing the total number of recorded cases to one hundred and seven (107).
There are no deaths recorded yet nor any patient on admission.
The Ghana Health Service’s situational report noted that contact tracing continues while reiterating the need for all to be on alert.
The cases are, however, expected to go up as surveillance heightens.
Currently almost all the regions in the country have recorded cases.
The public is encouraged to seek early care once they notice any unusual rashes or flu-like symptoms.
