Ghana has recorded two (2) new Mpox cases as of 22nd June, bringing the total to one hundred and nineteen (119).
According to the latest situational report released by the Ghana Health Service, there remain no deaths reported yet and no patient on admission.
Almost every region in Ghana is tipped to have recorded cases with the disease burden remaining in the greater Accra. Western and Western North regions.
Health authorities continue to encourage the general public not to lose their guards as cases surge.
The general public is hence advised to avoid close contact with anyone who has a rash, wash their hands often and visit a health facility if they don’t feel well.
Symptoms of Mpox include:
* Fever
* Rash
* Headache
* Swollen glands
Protect yourself by:
* Avoiding close contact with anyone who has a rash
* Washing your hands often.
Visit a health facility if you don’t feel well.
