Even though the 3-day national mourning for the eight (8) fallen heroes ended on Saturday, Ghanaians continue to flock to the Jubilee House to take part in the solemn floral tribute to the 8 fallen heroes who died in the helicopter crash on Wednesday, August 6.
The eight, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, Minister for Defence, Dr. Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, Minister for Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, Alhaji Muniru Mohammed, Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator; Samuel Aboagye, Deputy Director-General of NADMO and Samuel Sarpong, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah were the occupants of the helicopter who died in the CRASH.
Management and staff of the Ghana Health Service, led by the Director General, Professor Kaba Akoriyea was there to pay floral tribute.

In his tribute, he sympathized with the families of the deceased. According to him, it is a solemn obligation to be there to mourn with the country.
‘‘Most of them were friends, close friends I remember very well Alhaji Muniru, and we worked together more than 20 years. at the Ministry of Health. I remember very well Dr Omane Boamah as well. So we owe them the solemn obligation to join the nation, family and world to express our condolence. I wish them a farewell,’’ he said.
Other corporate organizations were also present at the Jubilee House to show their sympathy and mourn with government and the family of the deceased.
Management and staff of Cargill Ghana limited were also there to pay floral tribute to the fallen heroes.

The Managing Director of the company, Max Essoh Latte urged government to put in place the right policies that will honor the memory of the fallen heroes.
“It’s obviously a tragic loss. We are very sorry that it happened, but we felt it was important for us to be here to support and pray for the families and for the departed. The reason why they were travelling was obviously important to our business specifically, and we hope that the right policies are in place to honor their memory,’’ he said.
An inter-denominational burial service is also scheduled to take place on Friday August 15 at the forecourt of the state house in Accra.
