The Overlord of the Wala State, Wa Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpuo IV, alongside his traditional leaders, has on behalf of the people of the Upper West Region expressed gratitude to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, for his tireless efforts in contributing to developing the Upper West Region.
Speaking at a press conference to acknowledge his numerous contributions, which have had a significant impact on the lives of the people, the secretary to the Overlord, Jinpenhi Naa Kadri Ibrahim, who read the statement on behalf of the Overlord, stated that Speaker, Bagbin has prioritised education and human development, investing in infrastructure, including school buildings and sporting facilities.
He added that Bagbin also provided scholarships and assistance to numerous students, giving hope to many families and inspiring a new generation to pursue excellence.

Wa Naa Fuseini IV, listed some of the notable projects he [Speaker Bagbin] has undertaken to include the construction of an ultra-modern 2000-seater Assembly Hall for WASEC, renovation of the Wa Sports stadium, and the construction of a FIFA-standard AstroTurf at Mackoy College of Education.

“He has also donated to various organisations and initiatives in the region”, he further stated.
The people of the Upper West Region are grateful for Bagbin’s commitment to their development and well-being. They pray for his long life and continued success in serving Ghana and the region.
Bagbin’s contributions have not gone unnoticed, and he has been recognised with the prestigious title of “Dakagli Naa” by the Wa Naa.
A title which is said to be a testament to his dedication to the people of the region and his respect for the traditional authorities.
