Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has been adjudged the Goalkeeper of the Month September in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League. 

Asare, who is also the current goalkeeper of the senior national men’s soccer team, the Black Stars, is yet to concede this season.

In a total of three matches played in September, Asare helped the Phobians to two wins and a draw.

He was nominated for the award together with Karela United’s Abdul Ganiu Mohammed, Heart of Lions’ Lawrence Osei and Vision FC’s Kwame Aziz, who kept two cleansheets each in three games.

Asare went into the international break on duty with the Black Stars, a team for which he kept two cleansheets as well – first in the 5-0 win over Central African Republic and then at home against Comoros.

He has since rejoined the Phobians fir their Matchday 6 clash against Berekum Chelsea.
