Young Apostles FC’s goal poacher Richmond Opoku has been selected as the Player of the Month for September in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
Opoku, who is also the leading goalscorer with four goals thus far, beat competition from two others to win the accolade.
His selection was announced on Saturday, October 18 ahead of the Matchweek 6 fixtures.
Opoku won one Man of the Match award in the three games played in September, scoring three goals.
His goal against Hohoe United at the Hohoe Sports Stadium was also named the Goal of the Month.
He won the Player of the Month award ahead of Karela United’s Zaidan Mohammed and Heart of Lions’ Etse Dogli.
Meanwhile, Heart of Lions’ Head Coach Bashir Hayford has been named the Coach of the Month with Hearts of Oak’s Benjamin Asare named Goalkeeper of the Month.
