Nations FC have become the latest club to be relegated from the Ghana Premier League despite clinching a 2-0 away win over Karela United.

That win on the final day was not enough as Swedru All Blacks, Vision FC and Young Apostles all recorded wins to escape the drop.

With Medeama SC already secured the title, the scramble for survival on the final day was among four clubs including Nations FC.

The Abrankese-based side had painfully lost their last home game to Vision FC, making a win at all cost against Karela United the only option to survive.

But that would be dependent on other results, especially from the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Stephen Frimpong Manso’s side did the needful, scoring in each half of the game to secure victory.

Brandon Antwi Sarpong opened the scoring and Razack Sanou made it 2-0 in the second half.

This was, however, not enough as Swedru All Blacks rallied from a goal down to beat Asante Kotoko 2-1 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

A loss would have seen the Black Magicians out of the league after ending a 16-year wait to make a return this season.

From the results, Nations FC return to Zone 2 of the Division One League for the 2026/27 season.
