A first-half strike by Emmanuel Annor gave Nations FC a 1-0 win over Aduana FC in the first semi-final game of the 2025/26 MTN FA Cup played on Friday, April 17.

The all-Ghana Premier League affair began a festival of football at the Swedru Sports Stadium, which will also host the other semi-final game on Saturday and the Women’s Premier League play-off on Sunday.

It was Nations FC, however, who broke the deadlock against the run of play.

Annor, who is among the Top 5 scorers in the top-flight League, beat the offside trap to score for his side.

Under the heat from the sun in the Central Region town, Stephen Frimpong Manso’s side held on for more than 80 minutes to book their place in the final.

In the post-match interview, the former Bofoakwa Tano gaffer said one could feel the hunger for success on the faces of his players ahead of the game.

He will await the winner of the Dreams FC-Medeama SC clash for the finals next month.
