Nations FC Head Coach Stephen Frimpong Manso has emphasized that his side will take nothing for granted when they face Swedru All Blacks in the Round of 16 of the 2026 MTN FA Cup at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Saturday.
Speaking ahead of the crucial encounter, Frimpong Manso made it clear that cup football offers no room for complacency, regardless of the opponent’s status.
“In the FA Cup, you cannot underrate any club. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a Division Two side or a Division One side — it’s always tough. For us, it’s one of the games we are really looking forward to because we want to go far and we want to win the cup,” he said.
The Nations FC boss stressed that his team is approaching the fixture with full commitment and seriousness, as they harbor strong ambitions of lifting the prestigious trophy.
“We have good intentions for the competition and we are not going to joke with it. We are going into this game with full force,” Manso added.
Addressing the technical battle, the coach played down the importance of individual managers on the touchline, insisting that his focus remains firmly on his own players and their objectives.
“It’s not about the coach on the other side. It’s about us and how much we want to go forward in this competition. That is our main focus,” he noted.
The clash between Nations FC and Swedru All Blacks promises to be an intriguing contest, with both sides eyeing a place in the quarter-finals of Ghana’s most famous knockout competition.
Kick-off is scheduled for 3:00pm.
