Five people, including two minors, have been confirmed dead following a night attack by unidentified gunmen at Temgmasug, a community in the Binduri District of the Upper East Region.
Security sources confirming the tragic incident to Onuaonline said it occurred between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025.
According to the sources, the deceased were a husband, his wife, their two children, and the family head.
The attack left all five dead on the spot, while another relative who managed to escape sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
Security agencies, who have since begun investigations, believe the gunmen, numbering four, sneaked into the community on foot before launching the bloody attack on the unsuspecting victims, who were resting in their compound.
A combined team of police and military personnel have responded to the attack and have begun patrols to restore order.
