The Interior Minister, Mohammed Mubarak-Muntaka, has announced that 10 to 15 centres are going to be set up across the country for screening of applicants relative to the recruitment into the security agencies.
The exercise will start on the 17th November to December 15 2025, he said at a press conference in Accra on Friday, November 14.
“Every screening centre must not screen more than 1000 applicants a day – 500 in the morning and 500 in the afternoon,” he said.
Muntaka Mubraka further explained that the security agencies will not be doing the screening simultaneously.
For instance, he said, when the Police are done with their process, then the Ghana National Fire Service will follow suit, then the Immigration and Prisons Service.
“The police service will complete its screening before others. We do not want the situation where, for instance, the fire service will be doing it alongside side of the Police. To avoid overcrowding, the Security Services will conduct their screening exercises in turns.
“The process will be free and fair. We are looking for talented and patriotic individuals. If you are qualified, please apply,” he said.
“We are going to take the process very seriously, we are combat ready, we will take everyone who has go to through through the vigorus training.
“We will check whether you are a drug addict and do the needful. We will do everything humanly possible to ensure that the right people get into the training,” he added.
“Let us not do more than 500 a day,” he said.
