A low drive by Sadio Mane in the 78th minute gave Senegal a 1-0 win over record African champions Egypt in the semi-finals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.
It was the first semi-final encounter, played at Grand Stade de Tangier on Wednesday, January 14.
After a goalless first half, Al-Nassr forward Mane took his chances as an attempted grasscut shot at goal beat Al Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy in post.
It was joy for the Teranga Lions as they make their third final in five years.
They will face either Morocco or Nigeria on Sunday for a second title.
Egypt will play the loser in the 3rd place play-offs.
