Spanish side RC Celta de Vigo have confirmed the permanent signing of Ghanaian teenage sensation Bernard Somuah from Asante Kotoko, following an impressive loan spell.
The 19-year-old forward has signed a four-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2030, marking a significant milestone in his rapidly rising career.
Somuah initially joined Celta Vigo B on loan in 2024 from the Porcupine Warriors, and he quickly adapted to life in Spain.
His pace, direct attacking style, and eye for goal have made him a standout performer in the Spanish third tier.
This season, the Ghanaian youngster has played a pivotal role in coach Fredi Álvarez’s tactical setup, netting five goals in 20 appearances in the Primera RFEF – Group 1.
His consistent performances and growing influence in the team convinced the club to secure his services on a long-term basis.
Somuah’s permanent move highlights Celta Vigo’s confidence in his development and potential, while also underlining the growing reputation of Ghanaian talents making their mark in Europe.
For Asante Kotoko, the deal represents another successful export of young talent to the European stage — a testament to the club’s development structure.
At just 19, Bernard Somuah’s journey is only beginning, but with a contract running until 2030, Celta Vigo are clearly betting on a bright future for the Ghanaian forward.
